Lance Hammonds
Chairman
Lance Hammonds is a resident of the Water’s Edge Community and has been a dedicated community activist since arriving in Georgia in 1984. He is an accomplished community organizer that believes in the power of a unified community to transform itself into a place where everyone can grow and prosper.
Lance currently serves as the President of the NAACP DeKalb County Branch, member of the DeKalb Charter Review Commission, Wynbrook Precinct Captain, Water’s Edge Community Safety Committee Chair and past member of the DeKalb Citizens Advisory Transit Master Plan Committee.
He has worked for various global fortune 500 corporations for over 40 years, in various sales and marketing positions. Lance retired in the fall of 2018, after spending 12 years with NorFalco, a glencore company as part of a team that marketed sulfuric acid in the SE United States. He has always used his analytical and business skills for the benefit of his community.
